Jackson Wilcox

Career

Wilcox finished 14th in the 800 m freestyle (7:5709) and 12th in the 1500 m freestyle (15:0966) in Rome. Wilcox was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1989, the son of Briand and Judy Wilcox. His father is a surgeon and his mother is a homemaker.

Wilcox is a 2008 graduate of The Ensworth School in Nashville, Tennessee.

Wilcox has since graduated the University of Texas where he swam under head coach Eddie Reese.

Achievements

• At the 2009 United States National Championships and World Championship Trials, Wilcox won the 1500 m freestyle with a time of 15:11.98, earning a place to compete at the 2009 World Aquatics Championships in Rome.
