Career

Born on Staten Island, Richmond County, New York, Crocheron engaged in agricultural pursuits. Sheriff of Richmond County in 1802, 1811, and again in 1821. Crocheron was elected as a Jacksonian to the Twenty-first Congress (March 4, 1829 – March 3, 1831).

He died in Richmond County, Staten Island, on December 27, 1849.

He was interred in Saint Andrew"s Churchyard, Staten Island, New New York
