The Richardson, Texas native graduated from Berkner High School in 2000. He then moved on to the University of Tulsa where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training in 2004.

While at the University of Tulsa he pledged Lambda Chi Alpha. He then attended graduate school at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While there he worked with the baseball, swimming, and tennis programs and received his Master of Science degree in kinesiology in 2006.
He spent the 2006-2007 season in Spokane, Washington with the Spokane Indians of the Northwest League.
In 2008 in Clinton, Iowa with the Clinton Lumberkings he was ranked as the Midwest League"s west division all-star athletic trainer. He spent 2009 in Bakersfield, California with the Bakersfield Blaze of the California League.
2010 will be spent with the Bakersfield Blaze.
