James Robert. Interne Massachusetts Memorial Hospital, 1915-1916. Physician in the United States Public Health Service, 1918-1920. Medical and health commissioner for Volhynia, Ukraine, of the American Joint Distribution Committee, 1921-1923.

Head of medical service for Poland, 1923-1924, now chairman of its Health Committee for overseas health of war stricken areas. Assistant director Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, 1926-1927. Medical director Beth Moses Hospital, Brooklyn.

1924-1925, 1928-1929. Medical director, executive vice president, Hospital for Joint Diseases, New York, 1929-1952. Consultant in planning of the Rothschild-Hadassah Hospital and Hebrew U. Medical School, Jerusalem, Palestine, and in the planning of many hospitals in the United States.
