(The Germans fled the Rhine Valley, The Palatinate, as it ...)
The Germans fled the Rhine Valley, The Palatinate, as it was known, in hordes. Due to the religious wars nothing remained there for them but death and destruction. First, they fled to Rotterdam, then to England; then, heeding the siren call from William Penn, moved on to America. One of these was Christian Juengling, the founder of the Yingling family which now spreads from the East to the West Coast and from Canada south to the Mexican border.
