Career
He is best known for being the son of Antonello Da Messina. Antonello may be the same as Pino da Messina. Antonello was likely born at Messina by 1457.
He almost certainly traveled with his father to Venice during 1460-1470s.
He was active in Naples and is mentioned in his father"s will from 1479. Few works are attributed to him.
A Portrait of a Youth attributed to Antonello is found in the National Gallery in Washington District of Columbia. Alfonso Franco of Messina is said to be his pupil.
