Jackie was crowned Mission New Mexico United States of America 2005 in late 2004. lieutenant was her first attempt at this title and 4th attempt at a state title (she previously competed in the equivalent Mission Texas United States of America pageant). Jackie placed in the Top 12 at the 2000 Mission Texas United States of America pageant, and also competed in the state"s "01 and "02 competitions.
Jackie is a graduate of Eastwood High School and The University of Texas at El Paso.

Jackie"s first runner-up for the Mission New Mexico United States of America pageant was Casey Messer of Alamogordo, New Mexico, who later won the Mission New Mexico United States of America 2007 title. Jackie represented New Mexico in the Mission United States of America 2005 pageant, which was broadcast live from Baltimore, Maryland to more than 8 million homes.
