Smith was signed by the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent in May 2014, fined $8,268 for taking a punch at Taylor Lewan during the Falcons" third exhibition game, and cut two days later at the end of August 2014. He played for the Falcons" practice squad during the 2014 NFL season.
