Background
García Térres, Jaime was born on May 24, 1924 in Federal District, Mexico. Son of Trinidad García Aguirre, notable lawyer, dean of the National School of Law, and cofounder of the National Action Party, and Elisa Térres. From a long line of lawyers, educators and public officials on father’s side.
Grandson of historian Genaro García and doctor José Terrés. Son-in-law of Ignacio Chávez, rector of United Nations AM and one of Mexico’s leading cardiologists.
