Jaishankar Menon

Menon received a degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in 1977, and he earned an Master of Surgery and a Doctor of Philosophy in computer science at the Ohio State University. In 1982, he joined International Business Machines Corporation"s research team in San Jose, California, where he developed RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) technology. He has written 23 RAID papers and holds 27 RAID patents.
