Career
He is a product of the West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur youth academies. He has also represented England at under-19 level He spent time on loan at Finnish club MyPa until July 2011.
Nicholson made his senior debut for Spurs in the second leg of the Union of European Football Associations Europa League qualification play-off against Hearts on 25 August 2011, coming on as a substitute for Jake Livermore in the second half.
On 19 February 2014, Nicholson joined AFC Wimbledon after impressing on trial with the club On 28 May 2014 it was announced that he had signed a new long term contract with The Dons.
In January 2015, he mutually terminated his contract with The Dons. Nicholson made his international debut for the England under-19 team in a friendly against the German under-19 squad on 8 February 2011, coming on as a 74th minute substitute for George Thorne in the 1–0 defeat.
