Career
He served as United States. Representative from New Jersey"s 10th (1907–1913) and 12th (1913–1921) Congressional Districts. Hamill was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. Hamill served for four years in the New Jersey General Assembly, two of them as Minority Leader. represent the Ukrainian People of the United States at the Peace conference in 1919.
Decorated Chevalier of the French legion of Honor for work in French literature.
They had six children. Hamill is interred in Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, New Jersey.
