He was educated at the University of Illinois, graduating with the Class of 1896.
Mr. Beach began work in San Francisco as a structural engineer, and for eight years was associated with the firm of Miller & Pflueger. Between 1912 and 1915 he worked in Portland, Ore., in collaboration with A. E. Doyle & Company, and later (1926) was associated with Mr. Doyle on preparing structural designs for the Public Service Building in Portland. Following the completion of that work Mr. Beach returned to his home in Berkeley, Calif., where his death later occurred.
