Career
He played on University of California, Los Angeles"s team from 1968–1970 which included the undefeated 1969 team in which he received All-American honors. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana. An outstanding competitor, Ferguson was inducted into the United States of America Water Polo Hall of Fame in 1984, to the International Water Polo Hall of Fame in 1992, and was inducted into University of California, Los Angeles"s Athletic Hall of Fame in October 2007.
In October 2015, Ferguson was named to the Pac 12 All Century Team as a Driver/Attacker along with one other University of California, Los Angeles player.
