Landed at Ismailia and commanded a combined force of Royal Navy and Royal Marines when an attack was anticipated by a strong force of enemy (despatches). Present at actions of Tel-el-Mahuta, Malisemah, Kassassin, and battle of Tel-el-Kebir (despatches, medal and clasp and Companion of the Bath).
Selected to receive Egyptian War Medal at hands of His (or Her) Majesty at Windsor. Awarded Queen's Jubilee Meda
