James Haig redirects here. Foreign the rugby league international, James Scott Haig, see Jimmy Haig. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and educated from the University of Manitoba in 1934 earning a law degree.
A supporter of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada he was appointed to the Senate in 1962 on the advice of Prime Minister John George Diefenbaker.
He resigned from the Senate in 1977 at the age of 67.
