MOULTON, Professor James Hope was born on October 11, 1863. Son of Reverend W. F. Moulton, Master of Arts, Doctor of Divinity, member of the New Testament Revision Company. Nephew of Lord Justice Fletcher Moulton, Fellow of the Royal Society, and Professor R. G. Moulton.

Studied at The Leys School, Cambridge. King’s College, Cambridge. First Class in Classical Tripos, 18-4 and 1886, with distinction in Philology.
