Career
Born in Melbourne, Papadimitriou joined Altona East Phoenix in 2009 and made his first senior debut at the age of 15-years. He remained there for just one season before being asked for a trial in Florence Italy for the famous Serie A club American Car and Foundry Fiorentina. Papadimitriou was said to be a person of interest by many according to club coach Cesare Prandelli.
He came back to Australia in 2011, due to visa complications, to play for Whittlesea Zebras in the Victorian State League Division 1.
The club was very successful finishing in first position. Foreign the year 2012 they were promoted to the Victorian Premier League under the new name of Moreland Zebras.
Papadimitriou represented the Victorian Representative State Team throughout his juniors receiving the best-and-fairest trophy in the year 2008. During the summer of 2009-2010 he participated in the Victorian Summer League scoring 10 goals in the first three games then could no longer play due to breaking his wrist.
He still received the top goal scorer trophy at the end of the 14 game tournament.
Papadimitriou was then contracted for a period of 6 months with Melbourne Heart before returning back to Moreland Zebras. The season of 2015 saw Papadimitriou being the leagues leading goal scorer in NPL1 with 18 goals. He took out the clubs infamous Mirabella best and fairest award as well as golden boot, coaches player, and players player.
