Moral Sciences Tripos 1st Class. Master of Arts London. Foreign some years a teacher in elementary schools.
Then Scholar of Caius College, Cambridge.
In 1891 took charge of department for training teachers at the Yorkshire College, Leeds. Professor of Education, Leeds University.
