Religion
After attending Friends Meetings in Boston, Cleveland, and Gambier during the 1960s, JDM began attending Brooklyn Monthly Meeting (BMM) in 1986 and joined in 1991. This led to not only significant spiritual growth in the decades that followed but to many years of faith-based social activism as well. JDM has served as Clerk of BMM's Peace & Social Action Committee and as Clerk of the Meeting (2009-2013) as well as Clerk of NY Quarterly Meeting's Audit & Budget Committee (2005-2008).
