Donnell, James J. was born on March 24, 1840 in Company Tyrone, Ireland. Son of James and Mary (Rodgers) Donnell.

Education

Came to America, 1850. Public school education.

Career

William G. Warden, of Philadelphia, March 15, 1892 (died 1907). Entered banking business with N. Holmes & Sons, Pittsburgh, 1857. Admitted to partnership, 1872.

Resigned, 1899, to become president Bank of Pittsburgh. When this bank consolidated with Merchants. and Manufacturers Bank and Iron City Bank, he retired but retained position of vice president. An organizer and president Fidelity Title & Trust Company, since 1908.

Now Chairman of the Board. One of the organizers Vice-President Citizens Railway Сompany. Vice president Union Fidelity Title Insurance Company.

Director United Engineering & Foundry Company, Pittsburgh Steel Foundry, Pittsburgh Forge & Iron Company, etc.
