Two years before that, in 1871, Huddleston, Bolen, Beatty, Porter & Copen"s predecessor firm had commenced practice in Huntington, West Virginia with the new railroad as one of its clients. That relationship continues today with the C & O"s successor, CSX Transportation, Incorporated.
