James Stanley Brakhage
James Stanley Brakhage was one of the most influential filmmakers in American avant-garde cinema, noted for his subjective, abstract, and metaphorical works rather than realistic films with scripts and plots. During his life, Brakhage completed over four hundred films, including In Between and Dog Star Man, which is considered his most important work by many critics.
