(Wales) 1981. Teacher until debut Royal Opera House, Covent Garden 1967. A leading lyric tenor and has sung in world’s major opera houses including San Francisco, Vienna, Paris, Buenos Aires (Theatre Cologne) and Brussels (Theatre de la Monaie) as well as Covent Garden and Metropolitan Opera, New York. Toured Far East with Royal Opera 1979 and sang with co. at Olympic Festival, Los Angeles 1984.
Four United States tours with Metropolitan Opera. Concert appearances throughout Europe and N. America, under Solti, Barenboim, Mehta, Ozawa, Bernstein and Ormandy, including two recitals in Brahmssaal, Vienna. BBC TV series Stuart Burrows Sings every year since 1978.
