Career
Assistant to late Professor Thomas Andrews, Fellow of the Royal Society, Belfast. Demonstrator, 1st, of Chemistry. 2nd, of Physics, King’s College London.
Foreign 29 years occupied the position of Arnott and Thomson Demonstrator in the University of Glasgow, and acted as deputy for Lord Kelvin.
Resigned 208 1899, when Lord Kelvin resigned the Professorship of Natural Philosophy.
