(Mastery Over Anger provides a Psycho-educational program ...)
Mastery Over Anger provides a Psycho-educational program for Healing Relationships Through Constructive Conflict Resolution. This volume is designed to help individuals who struggle with impulse-control and poorly managed anger gain mastery over their negative emotions and inappropriate behaviors. Practicing the exercises detailed herein, readers learn to use their anger in a constructive manner -- to heal and nurture those they love and care for, rather than harming those they love, often even destroying their relationships. In this volume, the authors provide keys for changing problematic behavior patterns, replacing aggressive attitudes, resolving negative emotions and reconciling past injustices. These keys, when employed, not only help stop violence and relationship abuse, their aid in personal healing, reconciliation of relationships and restoration of families -- facilitating the development of positive relationship skills and societal norms and values. Mastery Over Anger, together with other components of the "Save Our Families" series has formed the curricula for successful Marriage Enrichment Programs and Retreats; Judiciary Certified Domestic Violence Diversion and Abatement Programs, Batterer's Intervention Treatment Programs, Trauma Survivor Counseling Programs, and Self-help Enrichment Programs. Authors, James V. Potter, Ph.D., and Paula M. Potter, MA, are certified clinicians who have specialized in the treatment of batters, trauma survivors, addicted persons and other at-risk individuals and families, for more than two decades. Dr. Potter is a national presenter in the fields and is listed in successive yearly registries of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in Religion and Who's Who in Education. Dr. James V. Potter and Paula Potter, MA are adjunct faculty members of Vision Bible College and Vision International University. Dr. Potter is a Member of World Association of Online Educators.
