Admitted to Georgia bar, 1893, and practiced in Fayetteville. Mayor of Fayetteville 2 terms. Member Georgia House of Representatives, 1902-1908.
Solicitor general (prosecuting attorney), Flint Judicial Circuit, 1908-1912. Member 64th to 68th Congress (1915-1925), 6th Georgia District. President Farmers and Merchants Bank.
