Educated, High School Commerce, 1932.
During the Second Polish Republic, he was a supporter of the National Party and Catholic movements. After the war he supported the Polish communists. He held the rank of general in the Polish military.
During World World War II, as the head of the Division for Abandoned Children at the Warsaw municipal welfare department, January Dobraczynski helped Żegota activists place Jewish children in convents.
He was imprisoned in Bergen-Belsen following the Warsaw Uprising.

Now general Reserve; Member Polish Poets, Playwrights, Editors, Essayists and Novelists association, Polish Writers Association (member directorate 1964-1966), European Society Culture (vice president Polish section since 1981, member executive council since 1982), National Council Patriotic Movement for National Rebirth (president).
Son of Anthony and Valerie (Markiewicz) D. M. Danuta Kotowicz, June 2, 1935 (deceased 1966). Children: Joan (Mistress Kus), Aleksandra (Mistress Kadzinska).
