Career
She was named a Fellow of the Royal College of Nursing in 2006. She was a contributor to the development of the United Kingdom’s first in vitro fertilisation programme. In 1992 she was named the first nurse appointed to the HFEA, which regulates and inspects all United Kingdom clinics providing in vitro fertilisation, donor insemination or the storage of eggs, sperm or embryos.
In her current role as Director of the Multiple Births Foundation, she has contributed to significant change in public and professional perception and attitudes towards multiple births.
