She was elected in August 2014 as president elect of the Royal Institute of British Architects (Royal Institute of British Architects), receiving 52% of the vote and will become the 75th president of the Royal Institute of British Architects on 1 September 2015. Duncan trained at The Bartlett, School of Architecture, University College London in the 1970s. She is director of Jane Duncan Architects which was established in 1992.
