Worked at Hoogendoorn, Talbot, Davids, Godfrey & Milligan (Chicago, Illinois) specializing in Estate Tax and Financial Planning, Business and Corporate Law, Litigation, Real Estate Law, Charitable Tax Planning and Employment Law. Hoogendoorn, Talbot, Davids, Godfrey & Milligan was founded in 1985, when Messrs. Hoogendoorn and Talbot left their partnerships at Kirkland & Ellis to start a Firm centered on representing families with substantial assets and business concerns.
As other partners from major Chicago firms joined the practice, the Firm's initial concentration in tax, estate and financial planning, real estate and trust and estate litigation expanded to include commercial and personal injury litigation, and corporate and business law. Today, the Firm serves individuals, owners of family businesses, public corporations, medical malpractice insurance carriers, and major private and public charitable and religious institutions. The Firm encourages its personnel to engage in civic, charitable and religious activities, since the Firm is committed to serving the community through the use of law as an instrument of justice.
