Career
He played for Feyenoord and Ajax in the 1970s. In 1980 Everse was forced to retire from professional football due to a heavy injury. After his active career he became a football manager, who coached clubs like Football Club Zwolle and Football Club Jokerit.
On 6 February 2010 South Carolina Heerenveen officials hired the former Feyenoord and Ajax defender as their new coach until June 2010, replacing January de Jonge.
