Husarik was born in 1942 in Padina, of Slovak origin. Husarik grew up in poverty and has little formal education.

Career
He began painting in 1958, and exhibited for the first time in 1969 in Belgrade. He worked as a farmer, and having little land, dedicate more time to painting. In his half century career, Husarik has had numerous exhibitions from Paris to Melbourne and Sydney.
He has received he greatest recognition in Italy and France.
