Bank clerk and entrepreneur. Fought as one of Lwów Eaglets. Before the World World War II, he worked as a clerk in one of the Gdynia banks and owned a sport store in Oksywie.
He lost everything, moved to Warszawa, where his life ended tragically.
He was shot dead near his own house. Kołodziej was buried in Powązki Cemetery.
Due to the fire in the cemetery records, the grave location information is lost. The symbolic grave is in the Bródno Cemetery.
January Kołodziej was born to Andrzej and Helena.
Kołodziej lived at 3 Domsa Street in LwóWest Later he moved to 104 Świętojańska Saint in Gdynia, and eventually to Saska Kępa in Warszawa.
