Jason Colodne has several years of experience as an investment executive and holds a BA in History from the University of Pennsylvania. Jason is the founder of Colbeck Capital Management.
Mr. Colodne co-founded Colbeck in 2009 with Jason Beckman, and still serves as a Managing Partner and the senior transaction partner. He oversees every aspect of investment execution in Colbeck. On top of that, he is also responsible for executing due diligence, overseeing documentation, and managing portfolios.
Prior to that, Jason Colodne served as Managing Director at Morgan Stanley. He became the Head of the Strategic Finance division where he was tasked to create and set-up a full-fledged strategic lending business. Mr. Colodne took the responsibility of setting up the infrastructure to keep the business going. He also had a hand in sourcing deals, accounting, managing portfolios, closing loans, administrating, and more. Because of Jason Colodne's hard work, the Morgan Stanely Stanley Strategic Finance division transacted around $19 billion in their strategic lending loan volume.
Before Morgan Stanley, Jason Colodne’s roots could be traced to the Proprietary Distressed Investing and Hybrid Lending at Goldman Sachs where he served as the unit’s head. He also had a credit investing placement at UBS in the Proprietary Distressed Securities Investing area and at Bear Stearns in the Financial Sponsors Group in Investment Banking. Jason Colodne has participated in many board seats and numerous restructuring committees. Moreover, he is member of the Young Professionals Organization-Metro New York (YPO), a Board member of the Centurion Foundation, and a Committee member at the Children’s Tumor Foundation.
