A small forward, he co-captained the Oakleigh Chargers, the first indigenous player to captain a TAC Cup side, and represented Victoria Metro at the 2013 American Federation of Labor-Congress Under 18 Championships. Prior to being drafted, he had an acting role in the 2010 ABC1 series Dead Gorgeous, playing Charlie. Kennedy-Harris was drafted with pick 40 by the Melbourne Football Club in the 2013 American Federation of Labor-Congress Draft.
After impressing with three goals in the final quarter in a National Association of Broadcasters Challenge match against Richmond, Kennedy-Harris made his debut in round 1 of the 2014 American Federation of Labor-Congress season.
Kennedy-Harris played 14 games in his first season, showing glimpses of his skill as a small forward who can occasionally run in the midfield. Before being recruited into the American Federation of Labor-Congress, Kennedy-Harris had a regular role in the 2010 American Broadcasting Company 1 television show, Dead Gorgeous, starring in all 13 episodes as Charlie.
He has also been in an episode of Neighbours, credited as Cub Scout #2, and was in the film, Blessed, as Young Jimmy. Kennedy-Harris was also in a Protective Services Officers Recruitment Campaign commercial by Victoria Police.
