Career
After the 2016 national championship game, Jayron announced that he would forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft, after being a projected 1st round selection. He played safety and running back. Kearse was rated as a four-star recruit.
He originally committed to play college football at Auburn University and the University of Miami before choosing Clemson University.
As a true freshman at Clemson in 2013, Kearse played in 12 games and made three starts. He had 55 tackles and four interceptions.
As a sophomore in 2014 he started 12 of 13 games, recording 67 tackles, two interceptions and three sacks.
