Career
Laflaquière was appointed High Commissioner of French Polynesia on August 1, 2012. He took office on September 3, 2012 and remained High Commissioner until August 23, 2013. His successor was Lionel Beffre.
Laflaquière previously served as the Prefect of French Guiana from 28 August 2006 to February 2009.
