He translated into French, the Chronica ducum Lotharingiae and Brabantiae Edmond de Dynter, the Historia regum Britanniae of Geoffrey of Monmouth and the Annals historiae illustrium principum Hannoniae of Jacques de Guyse. Jean Wauquelin also put in prose the Manekine of Philippe de Beaumanoir, the Belle Helene Constantinople and compiled the French novels of Alexander in his book of conquests and facts of Alexander the Great . In Marina Belozerskaya's 'Rethinking the Renaissance', Wauquelin was depicted in the illumination 'Le Roman de Girard de Roussillon' handing the volume to Philip the Good.
