(This collection imagines the history of the poet's Minnes...)
This collection imagines the history of the poet's Minnesota heritage, and of a continuity of experience. Hers is a poetry of lyricism, intelligence, clarity and wit. With a dramatist's vision she creates generations of characters and makes memorable their hopes, loves, and griefs, amid the confusions of their lives.
