Haddaway graduated from Saint Michaels High School in Saint Michael"s, Doctor of Medicine. After high school, she attended Salisbury University and graduated in 1999 with a degree in Political Science and a minor in art/graphic design.
She was first appointed to office in 2003 by Governor Bob Ehrlich to replace Kenneth Doctorate. Schisler who was appointed as the Chair of the Maryland Public Service Commission. District 37B covers parts of Caroline, Dorchester, Talbot, & Wicomico counties. In 2006, she ran for her first election and, along with Adelaide Eckardt, handily defeated her Democratic challengers.
After college, she took a position as an administrative assistant for the Maryland Department of the Environment and eventually obtained a position as a public affairs specialist.
She worked at MDE until 2000. In 2001, she became a Development Officer for the Maryland-District of Columbia Office of the National Audubon Society and worked there until 2003.
While working for the National Audubon Society, she started her own company, Dragonfly Designs, Limited Liability Company., which is a graphic and web-design company. She is on the Economic Matters Committee and various sub-committees.
She is the Treasurer of the Eastern Shore Delegation and is the Chair of the Talbot County Delegation.

Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio as his running mate in his bid for the governor of Maryland in 2014. Jeannie Haddaway, native of Eastern Shore of Maryland, said at a news conference in Annapolis that she has spent almost a decade as an Eastern Shore lawmaker fighting for lower taxes and a better business climate.

At the time, Haddaway was the youngest member of the Maryland House of Delegates. Haddaway took a big step in her political career in 2002 when she became a member of the Talbot County Republican Central Committee and has served as vice-chairman She is also a member of the Mid-Shore League of Republican Women, and the Republicans for Environmental Protection.
As a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, she serves as the Minority Whip.
She is an Executive Board Member of the Legislative Policy Committee for the Women"s Caucus.
