Nesset earned his bachelor"s degree in business management from Montana State University.

Career

He was previously the mayor of Lewiston, Idaho for 10 years. 2012 Redistricted to District 6, Nesset ran for its open senate seat, losing to Dan Johnson, who will face Democratic nominee John Bradbury in the November 6, 2012, general election.

Achievements

• 2010 Nesset was unopposed for the May 25, 2010, Republican primary, winning with 1,835 votes. He won with 6,835 votes (546%) in the November 2, 2010, general election, defeating incumbent Democratic Representative Liz Chavez.
