Career
Jeffrey A. Tangney, founded Doximity, Inc. in 2010 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Launched in November 2010, Doximity allows physicians to send HIPAA-compliant messages, fax directly from phone or web, search nationwide databases health care facilities and find contact information for over 500,000 physicians. Doximity aims to prevent medical miscommunication by simplifying day-to-day physician communication. Tangney also serves as an Advisor at Rock Health. Prior to that, he co-founded Epocrates Inc. in 1998 and served as its President & Chief Operating Officer. Tangney has over 15 years of healthcare/pharmaceutical experience. He served as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Epocrates Inc. since September 2005. Tangney served as the Senior Vice President of Sales & Client Service and Vice President of Subscriber Marketing & Product Development of Epocrates Inc. He served as Manager of ZS Associates from June 1993 to August 1997, where he provided marketing strategies to pharmaceutical clients and also served as its pharmaceutical strategy consultant. He served at Goldman Sachs as a Healthcare Investment Banker from June 1999 to September 1999. He served at biotech start-up Pangene Corporation as a Director of Business Development.
