Education
He received the Bachelor of Surgery in Mathematics and the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in Electrical Engineering (1985) from Syracuse University and the Sc.M. (1987) and Doctor of Philosophy (1989) from the Division of Applied Mathematics at Brown University under Philip J. Davis.
Career
He is on the faculty of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He has also taught at Harvey Mudd College, the Naval Postgraduate School, the United States Military Academy, and Santa Clara University, and was a Distinguished Visiting Professor of Mathematical Sciences at the United States. Air Force Academy. He is the author of several journal articles and a textbook, Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computation.
