She has released two EPs to date, entitled "Sextape Mixtape" & "Kiss and Run" Jenna has written and recorded with artists and songwriters such as: Drake, Noah "40" Shebib, Jessie J, DJ Mustard, Diplo, Lily Allen, Tori Kelly, Allen Stone, The Band Perry, Marsha Ambrosius, Jim Jonsin, Tamia, Majid Jordan, Jeremih, Babyface (musician), Banks (singer), Max Martin, Doc McKinney, Tricky Stewart and Kuk Harrell, Claude Kelly, Chuck Harmony, and Nelly Furtado. Jenna’s musical influences include vocalists like Billie Holiday and singer/ songwriters such as Carly Simon and Carole King. Andrews began studies in Music Theatre and Journalism/Broadcasting at Mount Royal University.
She then left her Alberta home after six months to move to Vancouver for music, where she finds herself in the office of Chris Smith Management (Nelly Furtado) just seven months later.
In 2008, Chris Smith introduced Jenna Andrews to The Island Def Jam Music Group executives like Los Angeles Reid. Her on-the-spot performance garnered her a deal within 24 hours.
Jenna"s debut single, “Tumblin Down” was co-written by Def Jam Recordings artist and label mate, Jeremih ("Birthday Sex", "My Ride"). lieutenant charted on Billboard charts Urban Air Corps and the Bubbling Under Rhythm & Blues/Hip-Hop chart.
lieutenant was featured on the popular Television show, Grey"s Anatomy.
The release brought attention to Jenna Andrews, landing her a feature in Vogue Italia “Visions on Stage” column in September 2011. "Kiss and Run" was the first single off her latest European Parliament of the same name. The music video for "Kiss and Run" premiered on Vevo September 2012.
The follow-up single "Weapon" premiered on Vevo October 23, 2012, landing Jenna features on VIBE.com, "Music Television Buzzworthy" and "Giant Step", among others
May 2013 Jenna Andrews premiered a six song mixtape entitled, "The SexTape Mixtape" exclusively for Rap-Up.com. lieutenant features remixes of songs from Jeremih, The-Dream, and Usher.
Jenna opened for United Kingdom artist, Emeli Sandé on four dates of her United States tour along with Emily King. Andrews has also toured with acts including Nelly Furtado, En Vogue, Shawn Desman and Kevin Bacon’s Band, “The Bacon Brothers”.
She opened for Nelly Furtado"s "The Spirit Indestructible" Civil Defense release party at the Highline Ballroom in New York City, alongside Dylan Murray.
Jenna has also shared the stage with Marsha Ambrosius and Miguel on the 2011 Black Entertainment Television (Black Entertainment Television) Music Matters Tour. In 2014 and 2015, Andrews has spent time in the studio working with writers and artists such as The Band Perry (co-writing on their forthcoming album), Redlight (musician) (featured on "Repetition" off the 2015 album X Colour), Diplo, DJ Mustard, Jennifer Lopez, Lily Allen, Banks (singer), Cashmere Cat, Majid Jordan, Marsha Ambrosius, Jessie J, including vocal production on her track “Personal”, off the Sweet Talker (Jessie J album). She has also been working with Lily Allen and Banks on their projects due later this year.
Jenna Andrews spent two years (2008-2010) singing the voice of "Billie the Guitar" on Canadian Broadcasting Company’s children's television show, Razzberry Jazzberry Jam.
