Gering spent her summer breaks travelling the world modelling.Gering began modelling full-time once she completed high school. She also studied Theater and Broadcast Journalism at the University of Miami.
Career
At 14, Gering was spotted by a hairdresser and asked if she would like to become a model. Gering got her first acting break when she was cast in an English speaking telenovela Miami Sands. Gering has had guest roles in a variety of prime time shows, including New York City Police Department Blue and Las Vegas.
Personal life
Gering eloped with long-time boyfriend Galen Gering on January 3, 2000.
In 2005, Jenna was the second choice for the recast role of Carly Corinthos on the American Broadcasting Company daytime soap General Hospital. She lost out to Jennifer Bransford, who only lasted a couple of months in the role.
