Jennifer Leigh Adcock is a beauty queen from Hattiesburg, Mississippi who has competed at Mission America and Mission United States of America.
Career
In 2000, Adcock competed in the Mission Mississippi system for the first time, as Mission Hattiesburg, and placed fourth runner-up. The following year she competed as Mission Southern and placed second runner-up. She placed first in a viewers poll of "best in swimsuit" and second in the poll of "best in evening gown".
Adcock graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1998 and with a Bachelor of Arts degree with honours from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2004.
Jennifer is now studying law at Ole Mission in Oxford Mississippi.
Achievements
Adcock won her first pageant in 1998 when she became Mississippi’s Junior Mission and competed in the nationally televised America"s Junior Mission Pageant, where she won the Overall Non-finalist Creative and Performing Arts award. In 2002, on her third attempt, Adcock competed in the pageant as Mission West Central Mississippi and won the Mission Mississippi title. She won Preliminary Swimsuit awards each year she competed and was a double preliminary winner in 2001, as she also won a Talent preliminary.
Adcock represented Mississippi in the Mission America 2003 pageant broadcast live from Atlantic City, New Jersey.
She won a swimsuit preliminary award and was a top ten semi-finalist. Also competing in that competition were two past and four future Mission United States of America contestants, including Mission United States of America 2004 titleholder Shandi Finnessey.
In 2004, Adcock crossed over to the Mission United States of America system, competing for and winning the Mission Mississippi United States of America 2005 title. She was the third former Mission Mississippi to win the Mission Mississippi United States of America crown.
Adcock then competed in the Mission United States of America 2005 pageant held in Baltimore, Maryland in August 2005, alongside former Mission America 2002 delegates Sarah-Elizabeth Langford of the District of Columbia, Jennifer Pitts of Virginia, and Tanisha Brito of Georgia.
She again placed among the top ten finalists, becoming the first woman from Mississippi since Dana Richmond in 1988 to place at Mission United States of America.
Membership
She is a Dean"s List and President"s List Scholar and a member of the Lambda Pi Eta and Golden Key International Honour Society.
