Jeremy Johnson is an American football quarterback for the Auburn Tigers Football team
Education
After a very successful football career at George Washington Carver, Johnson won the Mr. Football Award for best high school football player in the state of Alabama in 2012. He would go onto participate in the highly regarded United States. Army All-American Bowl in January of 2013.
His jersey from Carver was retired on February 6, 2013.
Johnson committed to on May 20, 2012, sticking with his commitment through the firing of Gene Chizik and subsequent hiring of Gus Malzahn as head coach of the Tigers.
Career
College Johnson came in as a freshman in 2013. He competed for the starting job against Nick Marshall, who became the starter for that season. On October 12, 2013, Johnson earned his first start against Western Carolina.
He had 201 passing yards with four touchdowns and an interception.
Two weeks later, against Florida Atlantic Marshall was injured again and Johnson replaced him as he had 192 yards 2 touchdowns and an interception. After Marshall served his suspension however, Johnson"s role throughout the rest of the 2014 season was largely clean-up duty against overmatched opponents.
