Began as reporter on newspapers at Lawrence Kansas, Hutchinson, Kansas, Kansas City, Missoury, New Orleans, Los Angeles, New York City, Washington, 1908-1915. Entered motion picture publicity and advertising with Essanay Film Company, 1915. With Famous Players-Lasky Corporation, 1916-1922 (special representative Hollywood Studio, 1922).

Director exploitation Universal Pictures, 1924. Assistant to Will H. Hays, president Motion Picture Producers and Distributor American, 1925-1927, also director 2 national greater movie season campaigns.
