In 1962 Jerry M. Fisher received a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Midland College (now Midland University).

Career

From 1964 to 1995 Jerry M. Fisher worked in management in the office products industry. Since 1995 he has written books. Fisher wrote a biography of his relative Carl G. Fisher, the entrepreneur responsible for creating the Indianapolis Speedway and its notorious Indy 500 car race, as well as developing highways and parts of Florida and New York.

Achievements

• Jerry M. Fisher is best known as the author of The Pacesetter: The Untold Story of Carl G. Fisher, Creator of the Indy 500, Miami Beach and the Lincoln Highway. This book was recognized and received the Society of Automotive Historians Cugnot Award of Distinction and the National Award of the Antique Automobile Club of America. It also obtained high praise from critics and readers.
